Catherine Marie Abbot
Catherine Marie Abbott holds a master’s degree in security policy studies from the George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, specializing in maritime security and intelligence analysis. Her research primarily focuses on maritime logistics, emerging technology, and intelligence processing, with a distinct focus on analyzing overlooked variables and externalities that disrupt strategic decision-making.

Fawzi Ahmed Abdullah Slom
Fawzi Ahmed is a Pan-African University alumnus and African Union scholar, holding a Master’s degree in Governance and Regional Integration. He is a governance specialist, human rights advocate, and peacebuilding practitioner committed to advancing gender equality and inclusive development. Fawzi has contributed to policy affairs, supported leadership and civic engagement initiatives, and actively mentors’ young leaders. He is an alumnus of the Young African Leaders Initiative Regional Leadership Centre (YALI RLC) East Africa, an Individualised Education Program (IEP) Ambassador, and an Amel alumnus, with a strong dedication to fostering accountable governance and sustainable peace.
Ciprian “Chip” Clipa
Ciprian-Gabriel “Chip” Clipa is a Lieutenant Commander in the Romanian Armed Forces with a career in special operations. His service includes operational and command assignments in special operations, deployments in support of NATO operations, several years as an instructor training the next generation of special operations personnel, and staff duty in international special operations cooperation. He holds a Master of Science in Defense Analysis (Irregular Warfare) from the Naval Postgraduate School and a master’s degree in Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs from Ovidius University of Constanța. His professional interests span irregular and hybrid warfare, maritime security, NATO and transatlantic security, leadership, and strategic competition with Russia and China.

Book Review Editor: Anesadora Hightower
Anesadora is a senior at Arizona State University with a double major in Anthropology and History. Currently, she serves as a Research Assistant for the School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies and is recipient of the Undergraduate Research Award from the School of Human Evolution and Social Change. Anesadora is a former Undergraduate Fellow with Small Wars Journal and the A.S.U School of Politics and Global Studies.
