A tradition worth bringing back
For much of SWJ’s history, the conversation continued below the article. Readers challenged assumptions, shared experiences, and sometimes gave the author something new to think about. Those exchanges helped make SWJ a forum for serious discussion.
Then came the bots, the trolls, and more moderation than our volunteer team could manage. Eventually, comments had to close.
Membership helps us bring that tradition back—with moderated discussion and a small entry fee. Think of it as a very low cover charge for a better conversation. Trolls, unfortunately, must still behave, and people with tin-foil hats generally won’t pay $10.
