Ukrainian Independence Day

Ukrainian Independence Day Image

The Ukrainian formal declaration of independence from the Soviet Union was issued on August 24, 1991. Today, the country is celebrating the 35th anniversary of that day as it fights for existence in the thirteenth year of Russia’s war and fifth year of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
