Feds won’t pay family of spy felled by directed energy weapon: Widow

Catherine Herridge of News Nation has been following a suspected cluster of directed energy attacks on U.S. government personnel and the compensation fight that followed one officer’s death. She shares new reporting on at least three incidents in Northern Virginia since 2020, including one at a federal facility, and notes that several victims were themselves investigating directed energy technology. The CIA and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence did not respond to questions about how risk to personnel is being managed.

Dr. James Giordano describes the two mechanisms of injury, a sonic form that produces a decompression-like effect in brain tissue and a laser-induced microwave form that disrupts the brain’s neural network. He characterizes the damage as progressive, often beginning with balance and cognitive symptoms before expanding into autonomic dysfunction affecting heart rhythm, blood pressure, gastrointestinal function, and immune response. He also outlines a two-stage attack pattern in which an initial “priming” strike is followed by a secondary strike that amplifies the first and he assesses that the technology is operational and scalable, with attribution made difficult by its cryptic signature.

The second half of this segment turns to retired counterintelligence officer Mike Beck, who in 1996 discovered a hostile service’s directed energy capability while on assignment overseas and was struck by the weapon alongside his partner. He later developed Parkinson’s-like syndrome, then dementia, and died earlier this year. His widow, Rita, recounts a decade-long effort to obtain recognition and benefits. The National Security Agency acknowledged in 2023 that it was more likely than not his injuries came from a directed energy attack, yet the Department of Labor denied compensation after his death, and the denial letter carried an incorrect date of death and cited a knee injury in place of his brain injury. At one point the Department of Labor was more than $25,000 behind on assisted living payments, which were released only after the reporting aired. The segment closes on Rita’s broader concern for younger personnel injured in more recent incidents who face the same denial of recognition.

“They’re young,” she says. “They’re in their 30s and they don’t deserve to be suffering. To be denied the recognition.”

Directed energy attacks on U.S. Soil: Early intervention is key to helping victims

In this follow up interview, Catherine and Dr. Giordano sit down for a discussion into the neurobiological effects of the new generation of directed energy weapons being used today. Read the corresponding article to the above video.

Spread awareness about these attacks. Attribution problems with these weapons mean that hundreds, probably thousands, of victims have already been affected by various of directed energy technologies. The condition once called “Havana Syndrome” is now referred to as  Directed Energy Bio-Effects (DEBE).
