Piotr Łubiński

Piotr Łubiński is an Assistant Professor in the Department of International Relations and Foreign Policy at Jagiellonian University in Kraków and a legal scholar specialising in international humanitarian law, human rights, and hybrid threats. He previously served as a legal adviser to Polish forces during deployment with ISAF in Afghanistan. He has contributed to NATO-related training programmes and professional military education, including engagements with Centres of Excellence and other security-focused institutions. His research focuses on hybrid warfare, disinformation, atrocity incitement, and the legal dimensions of contemporary conflict. He is the author of International Humanitarian Law and Hybrid Warfare (Routledge, 2025) and co-author of Malign Influence Operations: Psychology, Law, and Strategy (forthcoming, Routledge, 2027), and has published widely in these areas while also providing expert commentary on security issues in Polish media.
