Alexandre Antunes Ribeiro

Captain Alexandre Antunes Ribeiro is an officer of the São Paulo State Military Police (PMESP), currently serving with the 1st Special Police Actions Battalion (1st BAEP) in Campinas, Brazil. He has more than two decades of experience in policing, including tactical operations, command, and professional education. He holds degrees in Police Sciences and Law, as well as a Master’s degree in Police Sciences, and currently teaches at the São Paulo State Military Police Academy. His research focuses on organized crime, criminal insurgency, irregular warfare, terrorism, and the evolution of Brazilian criminal organizations, particularly the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC). He is the author of O Front Interno (2024) and its English-language edition, The Internal Front (2025).
