Mario Alvarado

Mario Alvarado is a senior at Sam Houston State University (SHSU), where he is a Smith-Hutson Scholar, is involved in many on campus organizations, and is majoring in Criminal Justice with the goal of pursuing a career with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). A border town native, his research interests revolve around different aspects of Mexico’s many cartels including their structure and organization, weaponry, vehicles, field tactics, and trafficking methods.
