James Peterson

CPT James M. Peterson is a Military Intelligence Officer assigned to 1st BDE, 82nd Airborne Division. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in International Relations and International Security from George Mason University. He is a graduate of Military Intelligence Captains Career Course (MICCC) Class 26-001 at Fort Huachuca, AZ, and of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s Imagery Intelligence Officer Course at NGA Washington. His military career spans multiple units in the XVIII Airborne Corps such as the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), and the 82nd Airborne Division, as well as broadening at the Military District of Washington (MDW). As a Lieutenant, CPT Peterson deployed to the EUCOM theater to support the Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine (JMTG-U) as part of Operation Trident Ready. His current interest is lessons learned from the Russo-Ukrainian war, specifically the integration of Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) and AI data platforms into conventional military units.
