Itai Shapira

Itai Shapira is a brigadier general in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reserves. He served for more than 25 years as an intelligence analyst and manager in the Israeli Defense Intelligence (IDI), at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels. Itai holds a PhD from the University of Leicester, and has written extensively about Israeli strategic culture and intelligence culture. He is the author of "Israeli National Culture: Problem-Solving, Exceptionalism, and Pragmarism", published by Routledge in 2024.
