Ethan Diven

Colonel Ethan Diven, US Army, is the Provost of Army University and the Commandant of the US Army Command and General Staff College. A graduate of Command and General Staff College and the Joint Advanced Warfighting School, he has operational experience with light, armored, airborne, and special operations forces with combat tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa. Colonel Diven’s recent assignments include command of the 2^nd Armored BCT, 3^rd Infantry Division with deployment to Eastern Europe in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve; Chief of Land Operations, Joint Enabling Capabilities Command, with service in support of Operation Octave Quartz in Somalia, and Allies Refuge in Afghanistan; and as the Commander of Operations Group, National Training Center, at Fort Irwin, CA.
