Dr. Emily Pesicka

Dr. Emily Pesicka is a Research Associate in the Energy Academic Group at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. Before her current role, Dr Pesicka held a post-doctoral fellowship with the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) at the Naval Postgraduate School from 2021-2025, working across disciplinary boundaries, advancing research for the Department of Defense and the Department of the Navy. Her research areas include energy and resilience, surprise theory, extreme weather events relating to the U.S. military, critical infrastructure systems, and research surrounding military and civilian communities. Dr. Pesicka’s research within EAG focuses on energy security, national security, installation resilience, and training and education. Email: [email protected]
