Summary:
Dave Eubank describes a humanitarian gap in Burma where civilians face attacks beyond the reach of many relief organizations. Free Burma Rangers teams provide frontline medical care, evacuation, and assistance across ethnic and religious lines. He urges greater direct humanitarian support and sustained engagement toward reconciliation and a federal democracy.
Comment: Dave Eubank and his team do incredible work. We must not overlook Burma’s people because other wars command attention. Governments should expand cross-border humanitarian assistance through trusted local organizations, support displaced families and community health networks, and press neighboring states to facilitate relief and protect refugees. Support for the Free Burma Rangers should sustain medical care, evacuation, food, shelter, communications, and education, guided by needs its teams identify. Donors can contribute through FBR’s official donation page (HERE), which offers recurring support. The governing principle should be impartial assistance based on need, coupled with clear opposition to attacks on civilians. Relief must help people survive today while diplomacy supports their right to shape Burma’s future.
