تأسست الشركة السويدية إيكيا على يد انجفار كامبراد من منطقة نائية في السويد تسمى ألمهولت، قام كامبراد بتبسيط أسماء المنتجات وتسميتها بشكل فريد باللغة السويدية، تمتلك شركة إيكيا أكثر 12000 منتج، وتبيع مفروشات وإكسسوارات منزلية عالية الجودة، وبأسعار معقولة.
تعتمد الشركات بالعادة الرموز والأرقام لفهرسة المنتجات، ولكن مؤسس شركة إيكيا إنجفار كامبراد كان يعاني من عسر القراءة، لذلك قام كامبراد بتسمية المنتجات تبعًا لكلمات وأسماء أماكن سويدية، وقد ساعده ذلك على تذكر أسماء المنتجات، وسهل على نفسه وعلى الآخرين تذكرها.
