Muhammad Waqas Haider

Muhammad Waqas Haider is a doctoral candidate in International Relations at Lancaster University and a Research Fellow at London Dialogue, an independent research and policy institute focused on defence and global security. A Chevening Scholar, he previously served for over 17 years as an officer in the Pakistan Air Force, holding operational, research, and strategic appointments across a range of defence domains. His research interests encompass space security and diplomacy, airpower, strategic competition in South Asia and the Middle East, and the technology-driven transformation of warfare. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on hybrid warfare, grey zone warfare, air power, deterrence, and regional security dynamics.
