In 2018, Andra-Lucia pivoted into migration and development, co-founding The Diaspora Initiative (TDI), a non-profit and independent research project registered in Luxembourg. Her recent publications address a variety of interdisciplinary topics focusing on the war in Ukraine, humanitarian and ecological impacts, concepts of resistance and resilience in a conflict zone (building on extensive field investigations). Other mentions: Andra is an EUDiF (EU Global Diaspora Facility) affiliated expert, and a Fellow (FLS) of the Royal Linnean Society. Opinions in this paper are her own.
