I think this is a ruse. You were strong-armed by CINCFAM into spring cleaning, and figured you’d take a photo of the 1/3 of the room that you finised at the peak of its presentability, hiding the remaining multitude of sins with the camera angle.
Do you get to smoke in there now, or does the real work still get done in the garage?
