Matthew Levengood of SWJ Joins the Military Writers Guild

About Matthew:
Captain Matthew Levengood is a U.S. Army Military Intelligence Officer currently serving in the 10th Mountain Division out of Fort Drum, NY. Originally from Rochester, NY, he graduated from American University with a B.A. in Political Science. He received a commission as an infantry officer from Georgetown University Army ROTC. While in the 10th Mountain Division, Matthew has served as a platoon leader, executive officer, and staff officer in both operations and intelligence roles. Outside of the Army, Matthew is currently pursuing an M.A. in Global Security from Arizona State University. As a graduate fellow, Matthew currently serves on the editorial staff of Small Wars Journal. His research interests include unmanned aerial systems, force structure, U.S. grand strategy, civil-military relations, military theory, and middle east conflicts. He has published in The Fort Jackson Leader, The Company Leader, and Small Wars Journal.
