KeyPoint Press (KPP) announces a call for chapters for Volume 2 of the critically acclaimed Urban Operations: War, Crime, and Conflict .[1] Urban Operations, Vol. 2 recognizes the topic’s scale and the ground in need of coverage given rapidly changing technologies and geopolitics. The world is only becoming more urban with 81% of the human population concentrated in cities and towns.[2] Whether it be the urban implications of contemporary wars, the implications for cities of the US government designation of drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs), the reassertion of great power politics and the rise of multipolarity, etc., there is a need to expand operational and strategic understanding of urban operations and urban security.[3]
Urban operations is a broad topic with many potential interdependencies to explore. These include, but are not limited to, topics such as potential water wars and their impact on urban environments, issues of state capacity and democratic governance, criminal governance, among many other unexpected topics.[4] We hope this second volume will expand on issues covered in the first and explore additional topics. We encourage submissions on the following issues on urban operations and security:

- Drones (UxS)
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics in urban warfare
