Article Discussion:
The child focuses on two pertinent ideas:
1) Was their actual intention to destroy us? Or was their real intention to engage and weaken us?
2) Are we, in fact, stronger now than we were before 9/11?
1) One would seem to be linked to the other in the larger scheme of things
Maybe better question is were they looking for us to respond in a certain way and did we?
2) Kinda hard to answer something like that without first acknowledging that we did act in defense and at first blush they seem to be the ones having to hide in caves.
If your trying to point out the larger issue of varied and somewhat more notable activities of belligerent characters world wide and/or the economic strains we are under
– Are there really more of them or are they
merely being given more attention then
they have in the past
– Show me anyone, anywhere who doesn’t
occasionally have to go back and
re-balance the check books, what bring the
need to do so to the forefront is simply
different for each
