The story of the lieutenant and 18 men and women sounds much like the Krulak 3-block war metaphor. Sound so much like it that the story leaves me in disbelief (at least suspicious). Also, with a complex, ever changing environment, how can Lt Gen Caldwell say this is a blueprint for the next 10-15 years? Finally, is “nation-building” what 3-0 is about as Charlie Rose suggests (and Gen Caldwell affirms)? I do not se “nation-building” anywhere in the new FM.
