After a series of disastrous missteps in its conduct of the war, the White House in 2006 appointed General David Petraeus as the Commanding General of the coalition forces. Tell Me How This Ends is an inside account of his attempt to turn around a failing war.

Linda Robinson, author-in-residence at the Merrill Center, will discuss Tell Me How This Ends: General David Petraeus and the Search For a Way Out of Iraq, her new book about General David Petraeus, the surge and the future of Iraq policy. John Nagl, a senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security and a retired Army officer who served in Iraq; Michael O'Hanlon, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and senior author of the Iraq Index; and Thomas Keaney (moderator), acting director of the Merrill Center; will provide commentary. My husband was on of the soldiers that was with General Patraeus during his time when this book was written. I am proud of all of the men and women how have and are serving our country. God Bless.
