David Shayeson

Commander David Shayeson is a native of Fairfield, Ohio, and currently serves as the Chief Staff Officer for the Second Navy Expeditionary Logistics Regiment. A dual-designated Surface Warfare and Navy Expeditionary Warfare Supply Corps Officer, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Xavier University and a Master’s in Leadership Development from Wright State University. Throughout his career, CDR Shayeson has held diverse leadership roles, including serving as Executive Officer of Navy Cargo Handling Battalion EIGHT, where his team earned the 2023 Battle Efficiency Award, and as a Reserve Program Director at NAVSUP Headquarters. His operational experience includes a deployment to the Western Pacific aboard the USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN-74) and a deployment to Afghanistan and Qatar where he served as a contract analyst. His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Commendation Medal, and four Navy Commendation Medals.
