Charla Geist

Charla Geist, DO, MPH, is an Infectious Disease Physician with 18 years of service leading DoD Global Health Engagement (GHE) efforts across a range of strategic, operational, and tactical environments. She currently serves and the GHE liaison to the National Guard Bureau Joint Surgeon General and previously led as the Chief of GHE for U.S. European Command. Charla earned her Doctor of Osteopathy medicine from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Public Health from the Uniformed services University. She published several peer review journal articles and is a recognized speaker in both the GHE and Infectious Disease Communities of Practice.
