Dr. Larry Miller, M.D. Addresses the Elephant in the [V.A.] Room

Why are suicide rates going up amongst our heroes? Why are we over-prescribing psychotropics, stimulants, and other medications? Why are we ignoring the needs of our Veterans? Why is this happening?

In this speech, Dr. Larry Miller, M.D. addresses the elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about. Dr. Miller provides solutions to help stop this tragedy. Earlier this year on April 7, 2025, Mark Miller, Larry’s son, unfortunately took his life in front of the Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans’ Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Just a few months after Mark’s passing, Enrique Ramos, a Marine Corps Veteran, also unfortunately took his life in front of the same hospital as Mark.

Let’s break the stigma around speaking about the needs of our heroes and their families.
