In anticipation of the fourth anniversary of the Taliban’s ban on girls’ education in Afghanistan, the Afghanistan Student Association at Arizona State University is organizing: Beyond the Ban: Reimagining Education for Young Women and Girls in Afghanistan. This event is a call to action, as it will discuss and highlight the gains made in the two decades of the US intervention in Afghanistan, raise awareness around the current dire situation in the country as for the education of girls and women is concerned and explore potential solutions in the face of the continued ban on girls education in the country.
