Description:

Indo-Pacific Security Forum: Enhancing Stability through Deterrence, Defence and Diplomacy

The first Security & Defence PLuS Indo-Pacific Security Forum will take place on 12 May 2025 at the Prince Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The rapidly evolving global security environment necessitates a proactive and collaborative approach to maintaining peace and stability. Amid escalating geopolitical tensions, the convergence of advanced military technologies, and new security threats, this forum will focus on deterrence, defence, and diplomacy.

The Indo-Pacific has become a focal point of global strategic competition, particularly regarding the rise of China’s influence, North Korea’s nuclear ambitions, and territorial disputes in the South China Sea. Hawaii serves as a symbolic and practical bridge for diplomatic engagement and security dialogue to address these challenges.

Join senior officials, military leaders, policy experts, academics, and civil society representatives at this one-day forum to exchange insights, develop policy solutions, and strengthen international cooperation for a safer, more stable world. This forum is intentionally scheduled the day before LANPAC 2025.(Open Link in new window)  If you are in Hawaii or able to travel, we highly recommend you attend in-person(Open Link in new window) to exchange insights, develop policy solutions, and strengthen international cooperation for a safer, more stable world.
