Lest we forget. ANZAC Day is commemorated by Australia and New Zealand on 25 April every year to remember members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who landed at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I. ANZAC Day is also a public holiday in the Cook Islands, Niue, Samoa and Tonga.

I’ve been to the War Memorial in Melbourne and its impressive.
Its largely dedicated to The Great War. And speaking of the Great War, you can find memorial statues located across Australia.
And how well I remember that terrible day,
How our blood stained the sand and the water;
And of how in that hell that they call Suvla Bay
We were butchered like lambs at the slaughter.
