Michael L. Burgoyne

Lieutenant Colonel Michael L. Burgoyne, U.S. Army, is a Foreign Area Officer currently serving as the Assistant Army Attaché in Mexico City. LTC Burgoyne deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Squadron Logistics Officer in 2003 and again in 2005 as Commander, C Troop, 3d Squadron, 7th Cavalry. He is the co-author of The Defense of Jisr al-Doreaa, a tactical primer on counterinsurgency. He holds a B.A. from the University of Arizona and a M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University.
