Michael Deegan is a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, with present duty in the U.S. Army Reserve Legal Command. Colonel Deegan was deployed as the Security Justice Advisor (SJA) to the office of the U.S. Security Coordinator (USSC), Jerusalem, Israel from January to July 2014. The article was created with the assistance of Colonel Scott Marlin, U.S. Army Guard & Reserve who was deployed as the SJA, USSC from July 2015 to March 2016.
