Yasmin Faruki is the Joseph S. Nye, Jr. Executive Intern at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). At CNAS, she assists the Executives with daily scheduling, research preparation for events, and planning for the Next Generation National Security Leaders Program. Outside her core duties, Yasmin is interested in Middle East strategy, counterterrorism policy, and national security law. Prior to joining CNAS, Yasmin interned at the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee, Deloitte, the Institute for the Study of War, and the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU’s School of Law. In between internships, Yasmin helped launch a competitive student debate program in India and participated in a civil-military delegation to Israel. She has also served as a research assistant to Professor Daniel Byman in his work on Al Qaeda and foreign fighters.
