J. “Lumpy” Lumbaca is a Department of Defense Associate Professor of counter-terrorism at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in Hawaii. A United States Army Special Forces Lieutenant Colonel (Retired), he spent twenty years conducting special operations throughout the Indo-Pacific region from the tactical to the theater-strategic and diplomatic levels.
