Alixe Turner is a native French speaker who has managed qualitative and quantitative research programs in Libya and Egypt. She has analyzed tribal dynamics in Southern Libya, including Tuareg and Tebu issues, and the impact of tribes on the unification of Libya. Ms. Turner conducted research on ideology among South African tribes regarding AIDS denialism and its impact on policy making. Along with her experience in Africa, Alixe has researched conflict resolution issues focusing on Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon, and has worked in Palestinian refugee camps in Beirut. She continues to ameliorate her Arabic skills and speaks Russian.
