Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Scott Mann is the CEO and Founder of the Stability Institute (www.stabilityinstitute.com) - a non-profit organization dedicated to brokering knowledge and connecting stability professionals on tough stability challenges all over the world. Scott is a former Green Beret with multiple tours in Latin America and Afghanistan. While on active duty, Scott was one of the architects of the Village Stability Program in CFSOCC-A. He also crafted the original VSO methodology, stood up the first Village Stability Coordination Center in RC South, and designed and implemented the USSOCOM Joint SOF Academic Week. Scott is currently writing a book to share VSO best practices from Afghanistan for future interventions entitled Game Changers, New Ways to Stabilize Rough Places scheduled for release in Fall 2014.
