Michael J. Forsyth is a retired U.S. Army field artillery colonel and currently an assistant professor in the Department of Joint, Interagency, and Multinational Operations at the Command and General Staff College. He commanded at every level through brigade and served as chief of staff of Alaskan Command and Alaska NORAD Region. He is a veteran of Operation DESERT STORM and served three tours in Afghanistan. He is a PhD candidate at the Royal Military College of Canada completing his doctoral dissertation.
