Julie Sagram holds a B.A. in International Relations from the University of British Columbia, with a concentration in Diplomacy, Security and Peace Studies. She has researched human rights issues for the Canadian Red Cross and the Organization for World Peace. Her writing mostly examines how state pragmatism and military strategy intersect with civilian life during war.
