Chris Martin

BIO

Chris Martin is the President of Martin Group International LLC, an Irregular War-fare Consulting firm located in the Metropolitan Washington D.C. area.  He was a sworn member of the Metropolitan Police Department Washington D.C. (MPDC) for a decade.  He served with the Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement in Afghanistan as an Advisor assigned to the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force and the Special Forces Operational Detachment Alphas, completing three combat rotations.  He was an instructor for a leading irregular warfare consulting firm, a Central Intelligence Agency affiliate, where he taught Behavioral Profiling to Coalition and US forces in Afghanistan.  He was a Tactics and Training Specialist for Academi Training Center, tasked to train Nigerian law enforcement tactical teams on close quarter battle, US Embassy Abuja supported program.  He advises certain staff members of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs Africa on stabilization efforts as he has spent five years in Nigeria and time in Mali.  He was slated to be the Contingent Commander of all US Law Enforcement Advisors in Haiti in 2014 under The United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH).  Tasked to train, advise, and assist the Haitian National Police Special Weapons and Tactics Team at the command level.  In 2018, he returned to Haiti this time with his consulting firm in an attempt to consult the Haitian Army on Disaster relief.  He has spent six months in Haiti understanding the political, economic, and security aspects of the country.
