Dr. Camilo Pardo-Herrera is an international development scholar focusing on democratic institutions, the political economy of development, collective violence and corruption, with a focus on the Latin American region. He currently serves as a Senior Analyst at the Terrorism, Transnational Crime and Corruption Center at George Mason University and as the Academic Director of the Democracy and Anti-Corruption Program at the University for Peace in Costa Rica. His work to promote socio-economic development and the advancement of democratic political institutions has been translated into policies by national governments, multilateral development banks, and civil society organizations.
