Joseph Hammond

Joseph Hammond is a senior reporter with the American Media Institute. A former Cairo correspondent for Radio Free Europe during the 2011 Arab uprisings, he has also reported from four continents on issues ranging from stability in Somalia to the M23 rebellion in the Eastern Congo.

As a consultant, Mr. Hammond has worked for the Oxford Business Group, Global Integrity, and other organizations. He has also worked as a consultant on international aid projects related to conflict issues.

Hammond’s work has been published by The Economist, Forbes, U.S News and World Report, Christian Science Monitor, The Diplomat, Naval War College Review, Africa Defense Review, and other publications

He was a 2014-2015 Fulbright-Clinton Public Policy fellow with the government of Malawi and is a former Penn Kemble Forum Fellow with the National Endowment of Democracy. He tweets @TheJosephH
