Jeff Gilmore

Captain Jeff Gilmore is a C-17 Instructor Pilot and Air Mobility Liaison Officer assigned to III Corps at Ft. Hood, Texas.  He received his commission through the United States Air Force Academy in 2003. A passionate innovator, he has led multiple initiatives that have been recognized at the command and Air Force level.   Notably, Captain Gilmore co-invented the AMC Digital Tactics Binder, a “benchmarked” product used daily by a majority of mobility aircrews to rapidly disseminate classified documents for worldwide operations. Most importantly, Captain Gilmore played a critical role in the development and testing of the now fielded AMC Electronic Flight Bag initiative serving as an industry liaison and co-author of the concept of operations.  The Electronic Flight Bag initiative team was recently awarded the 2012 Chief of Staff of the Air Force Team Excellence Award. His opinions in this essay are his own and do not comprise the position of DoD, the U.S. Air Force or Air Mobility Command.
