Dennis P. Chapman

Dennis P. Chapman is a retired Army Colonel with nearly 25 years of service. From 2006 – 2007 he served as chief of a team of military advisors embedded with the all-Kurdish 3rd Brigade, 4th Division, Iraqi Army, based in Sulaymaniya, Iraq.  His service with 3/4IA took him to Baghdad, Kirkuk, and other points in Iraq.  Mr. Chapman graduated from West Point and Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and is the author of Security Forces of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Mazda Publishers, 2011. He currently practices law in Virginia.

The cause of Iraq’s troubles - the single event without which the hideous mutilation of today would never have occurred - was a 1958 coup d’état.
