Jason Feuring

Lieutenant Colonel Jason Feuring is Commander, 6th Combat Training Squadron, where he directs a diverse organization of over 60 personnel.  The 6 CTS carries on the mission of the Air Ground Operations School (AGOS), which is the longest continuously operating school in the USAF, providing premier joint fires instruction to over 2500 joint and coalition students a year across six formal syllabi. He was commissioned in 2001 as a distinguished graduate of the US Air Force Academy with a degree in chemistry.  He has served as an A-10 instructor pilot, weapons officer, forward air controller, ALO, and an instructor at the USAF Weapons School. Lt Col Feuring is a senior pilot with more than 2,600 hours in the A-10A and A-10C.  He is a graduate of the Army’s Command and General Staff College and has served five tours in OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM, OPERATION ODYSSEY DAWN, and OPERATION UNIFIED PROTECTOR.  He has nearly 900 combat hours in support of our friendly ground forces.

In future conflicts against near-peer enemies, hybrid 4th and 5th generation threats will challenge allied air superiority and limit the ability for CAS aircraft to loiter and provide on-call fires.
