Daniel Koehler

Daniel Koehler (Twitter: @GIRD_S) is a Fellow at George Washington University’s Program on Extremism, Editorial Board Member of the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism (ICCT) in The Hague and Founding Director of the German Institute on Radicalization and De-Radicalization Studies (GIRDS). He is also the Co-Editor in Chief of the peer reviewed JD Journal on Deradicalization. He is an expert in right-wing terrorism and de-radicalization and recently published standard works in both fields. He studied religion, political science, economics, as well as peace and security studies at Princeton University, Free University Berlin and the University of Hamburg.

CBRN based terror attacks by the far-right have become a serious threat scenario. One of the key counter-measures is early detection of plots during the phase of preparation.
