Sam Read is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Statecraft and National Security Affairs at the Institute of World Politics in Washington DC. His previous research has focused on Afghanistan, corruption, and terrorism; his last published paper studied the impact of corruption in Afghan politics and how that has hampered U.S. military and nation-building efforts. In addition to research, he has worked with the Washington DC police department, the Hudson Institute, and at the Pentagon. He is currently employed as a risk analyst in the DC area.
