Lauren Fish

BIO

Lauren Fish is a Research Associate with the Defense Strategies and Assessments Program and 20YY Future of Warfare Initiative at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).

Prior to joining CNAS, Ms. Fish worked as a Defense Fellow for Senator Tom Cotton where she focused primarily on defense reform, terrorism, and the Middle East. She also interned at the Pentagon in the Office of the Secretary of the Defense for Policy focusing on the Middle East. Previously, she spent four years as a compensation consultant at Radford, an Aon Hewitt company, in San Francisco. 

Ms. Fish earned her M.A. in Security Studies from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, where she concentrated in Terrorism and Substate Violence. Her master’s thesis focused on geographic combatant command reform in the emerging security environment. Ms. Fish graduated magna cum laude from University of Colorado at Boulder with a B.A. in International Affairs and an Economics minor.
