Minneapolis Star Tribune‎

BIO

The Minneapolis Star Tribune is the largest newspaper in the U.S. state of Minnesota. Its origins date to the founding of the Minneapolis Tribune in 1867 and the competing Minneapolis Daily Star in 1920. During the 1930s and 1940s, Minneapolis's competing newspapers were consolidated under a single owner with the Star as the city's morning newspaper and the Tribune as the evening newspaper. The two were merged in 1982 creating a single newspaper with the combined name of Star Tribune.
