David Sniffen

BIO

Dr. David Sniffen was deployed to Ghazni Province, Afghanistan, as a Senior Social Scientist Intelligence Specialist (GS-14), with the Department of Army, Human Terrain Team (AF-17), and is considered a Subject Matter Expert on the Anti-Taliban “Andar Uprising” occurring between 2012-2013. His education and training includes, the following: Ph.D. in Psychology from the Graduate Faculty of Political and Social Science, New School for Social Research; undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Denver;  four-year post-graduate certification in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) developed by Habib Davanloo, M.D., Professor of Psychiatry, McGill University; certifications in language and culture with the Human Terrain System, Fort Leavenworth; and Foreign Security Forces Combat Advisor Training, Fort Polk. Dr. Sniffen is a subject matter expert in ISTDP and has been a guest speaker at Rutgers University, panel discussant at Long Island University, co-presenter at the NJ Psychological Association, Adjunct Professor at Montclair State University, and Senior Psychologist at Saint Clare’s Hospital
