Harward, Petraeus Under Consideration to Replace Flynn as National Security Adviser by Adam Kelsey, ABC News

In the immediate aftermath of national security adviser Michael Flynn’s resignation, ABC News has learned that retired Navy Vice Adm. Robert Harward and former CIA Director David Petraeus are two of the potential candidates to replace him.

Flynn resigned in the wake of allegations that he spoke about United States sanctions against Russia with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. before the inauguration of President Donald Trump and then misled the administration about the discussions.

Harward formerly served as the deputy commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). A 38-year member of the Navy, Haward was the commander of a SEAL team and led troops in Afghanistan and Iraq before working on the National Security Council under President George W. Bush, according to his official Navy biography…

Petraeus, a retired four star Army general who served as CIA director from 2011-2012, under President Barack Obama, was previously the commander of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan and of CENTCOM. The bottom line is not Russia and LTG Flynn, the problem is the same one that has always existed LTG Flynn does not believe marginalizing Islam as a motivating factor of Radical Muslims.
The rest is BS and I admire LTG Flynn for stepping down so as not to allow these ALLEGATIONS proceed. Some people will stay in the pool even one full of human waste if you put enough greenbacks on top of the scum.

There is also the question of cultural transference, in EU where large refugee populations are being established as Islamic or Shariah law enclaves transference is largely a one way proposition. The German government has even lied to the public about crime rates, unemployment and other troubling cultural tensions.

The problem I have with General Petreaus is not with his record but his willingness to play Pygmalion games to achieve counter insurgency goals without ever discussing any of these problems and the very real impact it has on soldiers who spent more of their adult lives in Islamic nations submissive to those nations religion. I wonder if he knows he's the Professor becoming Eliza?

In a recent poll taken on changes soldiers wanted in uniforms,
one was to get rid of berets, one soldier wanted the rank on ACU blouses removed from the clavicle and returned to the collar because he was embrassed to look at women's ranks on their chests. But significantly many soldiers want to be able to grow beards. To pretend that cultural transference is not decidedly a one way proposition has yet to be proved and the leaders we have now seem unmoved by the very real effects cultural transference largely a one way street and what Anthropologists once disparaged as going native. At State they call them Arabists or used to. I don't think LTG Flynn understood the kind of people he has been dealing with. Even if he is disparaged primarily for addressing the same problems of denial.
