The Institute for the Study of Culture and Language

The Institute for the Study of Culture and Language (ISCL) at Norwich University was established in 2013 as part of Norwich University Applied Research Institutes (NUARI). Located in Northfield, VT and Alexandria, VA, the ISCL's mission is to promote research in language and culture and development of learning programs for improving culture and language knowledge and skills in support of international security. 

ISCL rapidly responds to organizations fueled by the need to respond or operate in the 21st century international landscape by providing applied research and support for online and blended learning, as well as creative technological solutions in culture and language learning education and training. 

The ISCL features a cadre of acknowledged research fellows who are experts in culture and language research and learning development with exceptional experience.  They are leaders supporting innovative and cutting edge efforts in a variety of organizations including Department of Defense and other United States Government organizations.

A one-day workshop on the foundations of an LRC program and prototypical learning event for organizations whose missions involve cross-cultural complexity.
