Scott Porter

Scott Porter is currently an associate professor and team leader in the Department of Command and Leadership at The U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.  He is a retired Army Armor officer, a veteran of three conflicts, and a former board member at the National World War One Museum at the Liberty Memorial in Kansas City, Missouri.   In 2013 he was the Civilian Educator of the Year for the Department of Command and leadership, The U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and TRADOC.

The US must be capable of operating within an irregular war against hybrid forces, including in support of large-scale humanitarian operations to relieve suffering and prevent more refugee crises.

An Army culture that valued robust formations with overwhelming resources must now transform into a culture that embraces the reorganization of the current operational force.
