Robert M. Cassidy

Colonel Robert M. Cassidy, USA, is a professor at the U.S. Naval War College.  He has served on operations from Grenada to Afghanistan over the last three or so decades, most recently serving in Afghanistan in 2013-2014.  He has a Ph.D. from the Fletcher School and is the author of War, Will, and Warlords.

 

The new U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps counterinsurgency doctrine, "Insurgency and Countering Insurgencies" has some good things to offer but also has several flaws.
